Description

The lychgate, located on Church Street in Sherston, dates back to the 17th century and was repaired in 1920, as noted on the War Memorial tablet on the inner east wall. It features coursed rubble side walls with some dressed stone at the ends, supporting a gabled collar and tie-beam roof structure covered with stone slates. The roof is open at the ends, and there has been some renewal of the timbers. The lychgate includes two-leaf 18th-century panelled gates leading to the road.
