Description

Two semi-detached houses stand on Noble Street, dating to the late 17th century, with 20th-century alterations. The construction of No. 12 is of coursed rubble with flush rusticated stone quoins, while No. 14 has a rendered finish. Both have stone dressings and a gabled roof covered in stone slates, topped by a stone stack at the east end. The houses are arranged over two storeys and an attic, set at a right angle to the road, with each having one bay. The west gable end displays three-light chamfered mullions with hoodmoulds, fitted with small-pane casements to both the ground and first floors; a single light mullion is present in the attic, also with a hoodmould. Two-light mullions are located on the south front, serving the upper floor. Both houses now have part-glazed doors. A central gabled dormer is visible. A moulded plinth is present on the west gable end.
