Description

This large barn, located to the north-west of Church Farmhouse, is possibly from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof supported by a renewed timber framework. The barn likely has nine bays, although the entire interior is not visible. On the north side, there are two projecting gabled cart entries, each with double timber doors and tile-hung gables. Between these entries is a 20th-century corrugated iron lean-to, supported by wooden struts. The south side has opposed flush entries with timber lintels and a stone lean-to in between, along with large stepped stone buttresses flanking the entry to the south-west. The barn also has scattered slit ventilation.
