Description

The building is a water pump located in Coates Village, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and designed as a small fluted column set on a base, featuring a lion's head at the front and a fluted dome topped with a finial. There is a rounded handle on the side, and the pump stands about 1 meter high. The embossed lettering on the base is indecipherable. This pump is one of a pair in the village, with the other located at a different site.
