Description

Milestone located on the south side of the A419 in Coates, dating from the early 19th century. It is a single stone slab with a rounded top, approximately 0.75 meters high. Attached to the stone is an iron plate featuring an inscription in embossed lettering that reads: "CIREN.R/3/HAMPTON/7/STROUD/11".
