Description
This is a water pump located in Coates Village, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and designed in the shape of a small fluted column standing on a base that features a lion's head at the front. The pump has a fluted dome topped with a finial and a rounded handle on the side. It is approximately 1 meter high. The embossed lettering on the base is indecipherable. This pump is one of a pair in the village, with the other located nearby.
