Description

FYLINGDALES SILVER STREET NZ 9505 (north side) (Robin Hood's Bay 17/174 Coralline (partly formerly listed as 6.10.69 Ardene) GV II 2 houses, now joined into one. Late C17 or early C18 with many alterations. Randomly-tooled coursed sandstone with right bay faced in finely vertically- tooled stone; left bay a separate build. Pantiled roof with stone ridge, copings and kneelers; brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays, very irregular. Between the 2 right bays a modern segment-headed boarded door under segmental, worn keyed lintel. Right large 16-pane sash, left replaced tripartite window with 8-pane side sashes, 16-pane fixed centre. Far left later window in fire-window opening. First floor right replaced 16-pane sash, left replaced sashes in lengthened ovolo-moulded openings, perhaps once mullioned. Wide modern dormer on eaves. Left bay has plinth, wide modern casement, replaced 16-pane first-floor sash and modern dormer. End stacks, the left rebuilt.
