Description
Roseworth is a house from the early 19th century, located in Robin Hood's Bay. It is constructed from herringbone-tooled coursed sandstone and features dressed, chamfered quoins on the right side. The roof is pantiled with stone copings on the gables and brick stacks. The building has three storeys and one wide bay. The left side has a four-panel door with an overlight, set in a wooden surround with pilasters and a cornice supported by tall skittle-shaped brackets. Above the door, there is an eight-pane sash window on each floor, each with a slightly projecting stone sill. The gable copings are roll-moulded, and there is a stack at the right end. On the right return, there are two twelve-pane sash windows and a blank lower part with steps leading down. The rear (south) elevation has four storeys and one wide bay, featuring a four-panel door in a later 19th-century surround, with sixteen-pane sash windows on three floors and a nine-pane sash on the top floor.
