Description
Little John Cottage is a mid 18th century house located in Robin Hood's Bay. The walls have been recently rendered, and it features a pantiled roof with a brick chimney. The building has two storeys and an attic, with two wide bays and one narrow bay on the left. The entrance is a six-panel door with a top glazed section, situated under a gabled wooden hood, between the two right bays. The ground floor has 16-pane sash windows, with the right window being a replacement, while the first floor has 12-pane sash windows, all equipped with window boxes. On the first floor, there is a small chamfered fire window on the left. The house also has two square-headed dormers with slate cheeks, pantiled roofs, and five-pane windows, along with a chimney at the left end.
