Description

Staithe Cottage is a house located on Chapel Street in Robin Hood's Bay, possibly dating from the early 18th century, although it may be older. The building features incised rendered walls with stepped eaves and a pantiled roof topped with a brick chimney. It is two storeys high with one wide bay. The entrance has a replaced six-panel door on the right, which is sheltered by a bracketed gabled hood. To the left of the door is a nine-pane sash window. On the first floor, there is a six-pane sash window on the right and a three-light Yorkshire sash window on the left. The cottage also has a large ridge stack, a stone ridge, and gable copings with kneelers.
