Ballina Greystones

Ballina and Greystones are two houses located on Silver Street in Robin Hood's Bay, built in the early to mid-19th century with some alterations. The buildings are constructed from coursed squared sandstone featuring fine vertical tooling, topped with a pantiled roof and brick chimney stacks. They stand two storeys high, with an attic and a basement, and have two wide bays that give them a large appearance.

A plinth runs along the base, and there are five wide steps leading up to paired doors, with Greystones having boarded doors and Ballina featuring a four-panel door beneath a late 19th-century bracketed double hood. Small basement windows flank the steps, with Greystones having modern windows and Ballina having 19th-century ones. On both floors, there are late 19th or early 20th-century four-pane sash windows set in altered openings. A paired dormer from the 19th century is well set back from the main facade. The ridge and end chimneys are present, with the left chimney having been rebuilt.
