Description
The Keyhole is an 18th-century house located in Robin Hood's Bay. It features lightly-tooled coursed sandstone with later pointing and a pantiled roof that has stone coping and footstones, along with a brick chimney. The building has a gable end facing the road and consists of two storeys and an attic, with one main bay and a lean-to half-bay on the left. The ground floor includes a rear extension of a fish shop, which is not of special interest. There are steps leading up to the first-floor entrance on the left side. A large square oriel window is present on the front at the first floor, and there is a Yorkshire sash window in the attic. A modern casement window is located in the set-back left bay, and there is a boarded door on the left return. The roof coping features raised block footstones, and the end chimney is corniced. The building is included for its group value.
