Description
Cliffroyd, located in Robin Hood's Bay, is a pair of houses that are part of an early to mid-18th century terrace. The walls are cement rendered over stone, and the roofs are covered with pantiles and feature brick stacks. The buildings are three storeys high, with each house having one bay; the house on the right is taller than the left. Both houses have boarded doors, with the right house featuring an overlight. The ground floor is mostly blank except for a high small sash window on the left. The first and second floors have late 19th-century sashes with four panes. There is a coved eaves course, and the right end has chimneys, with the chimney of the left house having been rebuilt. A tiny attic light is present in the left return of the right house. The rear elevation, which is partly hidden by Wavecrest, includes a small gabled bay with a stable door and a single sash window above.
