Description
Wavecrest is a house likely built in the early 19th century, located at the rear of Cliffroyd in Robin Hood's Bay. It features herringbone-tooled coursed sandstone, and although the roof is not visible, the building has two storeys and an attic with three bays. The entrance is a 20th-century door, set in a wooden frame within a stone projection that has a cornice. To the left of the door is a 12-pane sash window, and to the right is a 16-pane sash window on each floor, with an 8-pane window in the center of the first floor. The top left window has been altered to a casement. All windows are framed with wooden architraves and have stone sills. The house has two dormers, each featuring modillioned eaves and Yorkshire sash windows with glazing bars. The eaves are stepped, and there is a parapet above. A small brick extension on the left side is not considered of special interest.
