Description

The garden portico, located approximately 150 metres south-east of Nawton Tower, is an 18th-century garden ornament made of limestone ashlar. It features a panelled door with eight raised lozenges set within octagonal surrounds, framed by a plain doorframe. The portico is topped with a pedimented porch supported by two Ionic columns, and it includes a pulvinated frieze and a modillion cornice.
