Garden temple. Late C18. Brick structure with ashlar stone frontage. Roof concealed behind parapet. At the front, a portico, with 2 Tuscan columns supporting entablature and pediment. At each end, curved ashlar wing walls, the entablature continuing along these, finishing in rectangular piers, with the cornice returned round them. In each wing wall a round headed niche. Plinth to wing walls continues line of column bases. A flight of 5 moulded stone steps, with solid balustrade walls, leads up to portico. At rear of this, a pair of moulded panelled doors, with moulded architrave, frieze and simple moulded cornice supported on consoles at each end. (RCHM Monument 4 Dorset Vol II)
