Description

Greenwood Cottage and Old Post Office are a pair of 18th-century cottages located in Lower Bockhampton. Originally listed as a pair of cottages 60 yards southeast of the school, they are constructed of rubblestone walls with a hipped thatched roof and a central brick stack. The Old Post Office has a brick porch with a pantile roof and a round arched opening, containing a pair of 20th-century glazed doors. Both ground and first floors have two casement windows, with cast iron glazing. A later two-storeyed brick rear wing features a slate roof. Greenwood Cottage has a plastered porch with a gabled pantile roof and a 20th-century stable door. The ground floor has two casement windows, and the first floor has two casements, one with leaded lights and one with cast iron glazing. A 20th-century single-storey rear extension has been added.
