Description

Bridge Cottage, which includes an attached outbuilding on the right, is a cottage that likely dates from the early 18th century. It features plastered cob walls and a thatched roof that is hipped at the right end, which is slightly lower than the left. There are two brick stacks, one at the left end and one near the center. The cottage is one storey with an attic, and it has a panelled door beneath a moulded hood supported by timber posts. The ground floor has three casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic contains three dormers with casement windows featuring cast iron glazing.

The attached former forge on the right has walls made partly of rubble stone and partly of brick, topped with a half hipped slate roof. It is also a single storey and has a brick stack near the left end. The forge includes a blocked window, 20th-century garage doors, one ledged door, and one window with glazing bars. At the left end, at the rear, there is another attached outbuilding with cob walls and a single pitch thatched roof.
