Description
The Cottage is a cottage with an attached outbuilding on the left, likely built in the early 18th century. It features plastered cob walls and a thatched roof, which is hipped at the left end and half-hipped at the right end. There is a brick stack at the left end of the house. The building is one storey with an attic. A 20th-century brick porch with a slate lean-to roof has been added. The original ledged inner door remains. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic has two half-dormers with similar casements. A large buttress is located at the junction with the outbuilding, which has timber garage doors. There is also a 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey rear extension. Inside, the main ground floor room features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and a bread oven, along with one exposed ceiling beam. The cottage is largely unaltered.
