Description

Little England is likely an early 17th-century detached house. The house is constructed of plastered cob walls with a half-hipped roof, featuring a plastered stack at the left end. It has one storey and an attic. A former attached barn at the left end has been partly rebuilt and integrated into the house around 1980. A 20th-century open timber thatched porch is present. The main entrance features an 18th-century raised panelled door. The ground floor displays one 17th-century oak mullioned window, along with two casement windows and a fixed window, all containing glazing bars. Four half-dormers with casement windows containing glazing bars are visible in the attic. The original roof structure remains intact. Some plank and muntin partition work is visible on the first floor. The main ground floor room contains a large open fireplace with a bread oven, although the flue has been removed. Some exposed ceiling beams are also present.
