Description
Home Farm House is a detached house that was formerly a farmhouse. It may have been constructed using materials from the demolished Milborne House, according to the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England. A date stone above the front door indicates it was built in 1804. The front wall features flint and stone banding with brick dressings, while the other walls are mainly plastered cob. The house has a thatched roof and brick end stacks, and it is two storeys tall with an attic, arranged in an L-shaped plan.
The central entrance has a six-panel door with reeded architrave, which has been renewed in the 20th century. On the ground floor, there are two segmental-headed casement windows with glazing bars, and the first floor has three similar windows. At the rear, there is a short wing built in matching materials, along with a single-storey extension that has a slate roof, likely from former outbuildings. Additionally, there is a rear lean-to with a thatched catslide roof.
