Description

A detached cottage, likely dating from around 1780, stands alongside a former forge and associated outbuildings. The cottage is constructed with plastered cob walls, topped by a hipped thatched roof, with brick end stacks. It is a two-storey building, featuring a ledged door with a glass panel. The ground floor has two cross-pattern windows with leaded lights, while the first floor has three casement windows, also with leaded lights. To the left of the cottage is the former forge, built with walls of flint, brick, and plastered cob under a hipped pantiled roof. It has a timber door and a shuttered window. This connects to a two-storeyed outbuilding situated behind the house, which has brick and flint walls and a pantiled roof. The outbuilding features ledged doors, casement windows with glazing bars, and a loft door. The outbuildings are likely slightly later in date than the main cottage.
