Description

No. 1 The Maltings and the attached outbuilding, located on the southeast side of Milton Abbas, is part of a former brewery dating from around 1780. The building was partly converted into a house around 1980. It features plastered cob walls and a hipped thatched roof, and is one storey with an attic. The left section remains an outbuilding and has two casement windows with glazing bars. The right section, which is No. 1, has two 20th-century doors beneath a thatched canopy. The ground floor includes two 20th-century casements with lead lights, while the attic has one dormer with similar casements. There is also a 20th-century glazed entrance door in the return wall. This building is included for its group value.
