Description
Nos. 2 and 3 in Milton Abbas are a pair of cottages dating from around 1780. They feature plastered cob walls and hipped thatched roofs, with brick stacks at each end. The cottages are two storeys high and have a flush panel door. On the ground floor, there are two canted bay windows with moulded cornices and glazing bars. The first floor has three casement windows, each with a central vertical glazing bar. No. 3 has an extension at the rear and to the right, which has weatherboarded walls and a half-hipped tiled roof. This extension includes a ledged door, a conservatory window, and one pent-roofed dormer with casements. Historically, this building was a tailor's shop.
