Description
Vicarage Cottage, including the front boundary wall, is a detached cottage that was formerly a staff cottage to the vicarage, built around 1780. It has a 20th-century extension on the right end. The cottage features flint walls with brick dressings, which are colourwashed, and a hipped thatched roof with a brick stack near the left end. The building has an irregular plan, consisting of a central range with projecting wings at each end and a small projection at the left end. It is a single-storey structure. The central section has a glazed door, flanked by two-light casements that have timber Gothic tracery and lead lights. The left wing contains a ledged door and 20th-century metal casements. The right wing, added around 1970, is made of brick and has a thatched roof. The boundary wall along the road is constructed of flint with some brick banding.
