Description

Daleside is a house likely dating from the 17th century, perhaps with even earlier origins, and incorporating a 20th-century extension. The building is constructed of whitewashed limestone rubble with a thatched roof, and features a cruck frame. A brick stack rises from the centre of the main section's ridge. The original section has a hearth-passage entry and is one storey high with an attic. It comprises three bays of cruck framing. Windows consist of a 20th-century half-glazed door, two casements to the left, and one to the right, all with wooden lintels. The 20th-century extension is not of particular architectural interest.
