Description
Swan Green Cottages are two cottages dating from the 18th century, constructed of rendered cob and brick with a thatched roof. The buildings are 1½ storeys high and consist of eight bays, with an outshot at one end.
The right-hand cottage (No. 1) features a plank door located between the left-hand bays, sheltered by a hipped hood supported by posts. It has segmental two-light casements on each side and two-light eyebrow dormers. The right-hand bay includes a two-light casement, and there is a large stack positioned over the right of the centre bay. The roof is half-hipped to the right.
The left-hand cottage (No. 2) has a plank door under a segmental head in both the right-hand and left-hand bays, with the door on the right having a two-light eyebrow dormer above it. There is another plank door in the right of the centre bay, also under a hipped hood on posts. This cottage features a two-light segmental head casement with a two-light eyebrow dormer above, located beside and in the left of the centre bay. The ridge stacks are situated in the centre and between the left-hand bays, and the roof sweeps down over the outshot at the left end.
