Description
Horseshoe Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and additions, topped with a thatched roof. The cottage is positioned with its end facing the road and is 1½ storeys high with two bays. There is an outshot on the rear side and a single-storey addition from the 20th century on the far bay of the front side. The road-facing end has a tall brick plinth, and the exposed frame is visible above, except for the outshot. The front includes a hipped 20th-century addition with long casements, while the original part has a single casement and a three-light casement in the half-hipped gable. A central stack is located on the ridge of the original section.
