Description
Cuffnells Lodge is an early 19th-century lodge that has been later extended. It is constructed of yellow brick with stucco details and additions, featuring lead and slate roofs. The building is single storey and L-shaped with a square plan, with the formal part facing the drive and a two-bay wing extending to the rear. The section facing the drive is a square room with full-height recessed panels on each side, which contain rubbed round-headed openings. The front features a six-flush-panel door beneath a radiating fanlight, while the other sides have 12-pane sash windows under similar openings. A modillioned cornice runs around the building without indenting, and above it is a parapet that indents and has coping. The remainder of the building includes two or one-light casements and doors under segmental arches. Cuffnells Lodge served as the lodge for the now-demolished Cuffnells.
