MATTERDALE WATERMILLOCK NY 42 SW 6/168 Dowthwaite Monument approx 8.5 m South of All Saints' Church - (q.v.)

GV II Table tomb. 1740. Slab with moulded edge on plain supports. Inscription, difficult to read, starts: "WALK SOFTLY BY ...." and commemorates Robert Dowthwaite (died 1740).
