Description
Rose Cottage, located on the Forthampton Estate, consists of two semi-detached cottages built between the mid-17th century and the 19th century. The cottages feature square-panelled timber framing with unpainted brick infill. They have a thatched and red tiled roof, along with brick stacks. The layout is L-shaped, with a 19th-century lean-to attached to the forward-facing gable end on the left side. The cottages are 1½ storeys tall and have irregular window arrangements, including one eyebrow dormer. The windows are wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars, consisting of two, three, and four lights. A 19th-century plank door is located in the right-hand wall of the forward-facing gable on the left. The gable-end stacks project outward. The interior has not been inspected.
