Description
Sarn Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th to 18th century, with some early 20th-century alterations. It features square-panelled timber-framing with painted brick infill, a plastic thatch roof, and red tile roofing. The main body of the cottage is rectangular, with a timber-framed extension added to the left gable end during the 19th to early 20th century. There is also a rendered, flat-roofed extension on the left that is not of special interest. The cottage is 1½ storeys tall and has irregular window placements, including one eyebrow dormer and a mix of two and three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. A part-glazed porch from the 20th century is located at the right gable end, featuring a glazed door with glazing bars. A gable-end stack is situated at the left end of the main body. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is part of the Forthampton Estate.
