Description
Hazel Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 17th to 18th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It features square-panelled timber-framing with tusked tenons and painted brick infill, while the left gable-end is partly covered with weatherboarding. The cottage has a thatched roof with decorative ridge thatching and a brick stack. The main body of the building is rectangular and has one and a half storeys, consisting of three bays that are lit by one and two-light 20th-century casements with glazing bars. There is a possible fire window towards the left gable-end. Access to the cottage is through a part-glazed 20th-century door that leads into a flat-roofed 20th-century extension at the left gable-end and at the rear, which are not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
