Description
The Old Thatched Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It features square-panelled timber-framing with rendered and painted brick infill, topped by a thatched roof. The building has a rectangular plan and includes a 19th-century lean-to at the left gable end. It is one and a half storeys high, with the ground floor illuminated by 20th-century two-light wooden casements that have horizontal glazing bars. There is a former fire window towards the left end, while the upper floor is lit by garret lights with glazing bars. Access to the cottage is via the left gable end, which currently has no door hung as of April 1985. The right gable end features a projecting stack. The interior has not been inspected.
