Description

Torsend is a detached cottage located in Tirley Village, dating from the 18th century and 20th century. It features square-panelled timber-framing with bracing and a red tile roof, along with brick stacks. The main body of the cottage is rectangular, and there is a 20th-century lean-to at the left gable-end, which is not of special interest. The cottage has one and a half storeys, with the upper storey illuminated by two 20th-century two-light dormers. The ground floor is lit by two 20th-century two-light casements with glazing bars, and there is a four-panelled door off-centre to the left. The gable-end stacks project from the structure. The interior has not been inspected.
