Description
Withers Farm is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century. It features square-panelled timber-framing with rendered and painted brick infill, topped by a red tile roof and a brick stack. The building has a T-shaped plan. A 20th-century timber lean-to shed on the roadside front is not of special interest.
On the garden front, the left gable end projects forward, and the upper part of the gable extends over the first floor. There are three-light casements on the first floor, while the ground floor of the right wing has a casement window, and above it, there is a small two-light casement. The right-hand gable end has been partly refaced in brick and contains three 20th-century casements, one of which is in a blocked doorway. Access to the farmhouse is through a 19th-century plank door in the left-hand wall. The interior has not been inspected.
