Description
Elm Cottage is a former pair of semi-detached cottages that has been converted into a single dwelling. It dates from the early 17th century to the early 18th century. The building features square timber-framing with struts, painted brick infill, and rendered wattle and daub infill on the upper storey. It has a red tile roof and brick stacks, with an L-shaped plan. The two-storey structure has a four-bay, three-windowed facade, which is illuminated by metal casements with one, two, three, and four lights, all featuring horizontal glazing bars. There is a pair of 19th-century plank doors at the center of the front. The ground floor windows are topped with pitched planks, and there are cross beams in the gable ends. The right gable-end has a stack, and there is a projecting stack on the left gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
