Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with a 19th-century extension. It features square-panelled timber-framing with rendered brick infill, painted brick, and a red tile roof with brick stacks. The cottage has a rectangular plan, with the original timber-framed core on the left and the 19th-century extension on the right. The timber-framed section is one storey high and consists of one bay, featuring a 2-light hipped half dormer with glazing bars at the front and a 19th-century twelve-pane sash window on the ground floor. The two-bay 19th-century extension on the right has a ground floor lit by a twelve-pane sash window with horns in a segmental-headed surround. There is a 19th-century plank door set within a gabled porch on the left. The original timber-framed core has a projecting stack at the left gable end, while the 19th-century extension has an axial stack. The interior has not been inspected.
