Description

This is a barn located immediately north-east of Court Farm, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features weatherboarded square-panelled timber-framing and a corrugated iron roof, which was originally thatched. The barn has a rectangular plan and includes a weatherboarded lean-to at the right gable end. The central entrance consists of double plank doors with a raised canopy above. Inside, there are five bays with lofts at both ends. The original queen post trusses are of an unusual design, with the principal rafters joined to the main wall posts and a tie beam positioned below the level of the wall plate.
