LOPPINGTON C.P. LOPPINGTON SJ 4629-4729 15/34 Barn approx. 10m - north-west of Parish Farmhouse GV II

Barn. Late C17 with later alterations. Weatherboarded timber frame; corrugated iron roof. 2 levels; eaves hatches to left and right with doors beneath; wide former threshing entrance to centre. Interior: framing visible; square and rectangular panels, 2 from cill to wall-plate. Single- purlin roof in 3 bays with raking struts from tie beams to principal rafters; straight windbraces and jowled wall posts. Lofts over left and right bays. Single-storey C19 red brick lean-tos to either end are not of special architectural interest.
