Description
This is a barn located approximately 10 meters north-west of Parish Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. The barn features a weatherboarded timber frame and a corrugated iron roof. It has two levels, with eaves hatches on the left and right sides and doors beneath them, as well as a wide former threshing entrance in the center. Inside, the framing is visible, consisting of square and rectangular panels, with two panels extending from the cill to the wall-plate. The roof is a single-purlin design spanning three bays, supported by raking struts from the tie beams to the principal rafters, along with straight windbraces and jowled wall posts. There are lofts over the left and right bays. At either end, there are single-storey 19th-century red brick lean-tos, which are not of special architectural interest.
