Description
This is a barn located approximately 40 meters south-west of School Farmhouse, dating from the early 17th century with later alterations. The barn features a weatherboarded timber frame and a roof made of corrugated iron over thatch. It is a single level structure. On the north side, there are wide double doors to the left of the center, with another door immediately to the left, and a cart entrance to the right with a door immediately to the left. Inside, the framing is visible, showcasing large square panels, two of which extend from the cill to the wall-plate, along with weatherboarded partitions that include long straight tension braces. The single-purlin roof is divided into four bays and includes large raking struts connecting the tie beams to the principal rafters, as well as slightly curved windbraces. There is a loft above the cart bay.
