Description
Holly Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of limewashed uncoursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys, with mid-19th century casements located directly below the eaves on both the left and right sides, and two late 20th century casements on the ground floor, also on the left and right. There are two doorways with segmental heads; the left doorway has a 20th century half-glazed door, while the right has a boarded door. The cottage has integral end stacks, with the left stack having a painted brick shaft and the right stack being larger, made of stone with a brick top. Attached to the right gable end is a lower 19th century rubblestone former cowhouse, which has a planted timber frame at the front.
