BUCKNELL C.P. THE CAUSEWAY (north side) Barn immediately to east of Old School House

Barn. Mid-C17 with later alterations. Corrugated iron-clad timber frame on rubblestone plinth with weatherboarding directly below eaves to front and above tie beam to right gable end; corrugated iron roof. 2 levels. Four C20 plank doors and 5 eaves hatches, centre with blind raking dormer above. Interior. Framing visible: square panels (partly renewed), 3 from cill to wall-plate. Single-purlin roof in 5 bays with one queen-strut truss and raking struts from tie beams to principal rafters; curved principals and one cambered tie beam.
