Description
This is a barn located approximately 20 meters north-west of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. The barn features a weatherboarded timber frame set on an uncoursed limestone rubble plinth and has a graded slate roof. It has two levels, with a full-height cart entrance in the second bay from the left, wide full-height double doors to the right, and stable doors to the left. Inside, the framing is visible, with rectangular panels consisting of two from the cill to the wall-plate, featuring long straight tension braces to the left of the cart entrance, and three square panels to the right. The roof has double purlins in four bays to the right of the cart entrance, supported by raking struts from the tie beams to the principal rafters.
