Description
Wotherton Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that underwent remodelling in 1839, originally built in the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It features red brick in a monk bond pattern and a limestone ashlar facade, topped with a slate roof. The building is L-shaped and has a two-storey lean-to added around 1839 at the rear. It stands two storeys high with a central gable that resembles a pediment and a first-floor cill band. The front has three windows, which are multi-paned cast-iron casements set in chamfered stone surrounds. The central entrance boasts a projecting round-arched stone doorcase with crudely carved capitals and a moulded entablature, featuring a six-panel door with a plain fanlight above. At either end, there are external red brick stacks with paired octagonal stone shafts. A datestone marked "1839" is located at the centre of the gable.
