Description

Hockelton Bridge is a bridge built in 1835 by Edward Haycock. It is constructed from regularly coursed and dressed limestone, featuring rusticated voussoirs that continue under the arch. The bridge has a single elliptical arch with three slightly projecting keystones, a moulded string course, and rectangular corner piers. The building contract for the bridge, which cost £972, was awarded to Joseph Stant of Shrewsbury. The bridge spans the River Camlad.
