Description
Woodmore, also known as Woodmoor, is a farmhouse located in Chirbury, dating from the early to mid-19th century, with later additions and alterations. The building is constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof with external end stacks that have late 19th-century red brick shafts. It is two storeys high with a gable-lit attic and has a three-window front. The windows are three-light late 20th-century casements designed to imitate the original style. The central entrance has a plain pilastered doorcase topped with a pedimented hood and a four-panel door, with the top panels being glazed. To the left, there is a lower mid-19th-century addition that is set back at right angles, featuring two 19th-century casements on the first floor and one 20th-century casement in the centre on the ground floor. This addition also includes a brick dentilled eaves cornice and an end stack.
