Description

Groton Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with coped verges and external end stacks. The building has three storeys and a three-window front, with four-paned glazing bar sash windows set in stone surrounds. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door, with the upper panels now glazed, situated in an open-pedimented pilastered doorcase that has panelled reveals and a semi-circular fanlight above. To the left of the main structure, there is a mid-19th century two-storey service range.
