Description
The churchyard wall to the north and west of the Church of St. Michael is likely from the late 18th century or 19th century, although it incorporates earlier materials. It is constructed from coursed and dressed sandstone rubble and features triangular coping. The wall encloses the churchyard on the north and west sides, with the boundary to the east marked by a former wall to Church Farm. There is a stone stile located at the north-east corner. Although the churchyard has been extended to the south-east, the original roughly circular shape, which suggests an earlier date, has been maintained due to a significant drop in ground level on that side. This wall is included for its group value.
