Description

The churchyard wall at the Church of St. Michael is likely from the 16th or 17th century and is constructed of red sandstone ashlar. It encloses three sides of a rectangular churchyard, with a later 20th-century extension added. The wall is made of large blocks of coursed ashlar and features steeply chamfered coping stones. The graveyard is elevated above the surrounding field, making more of the wall visible on the outer face than on the inner side.
